We were brave to load up the car with 4 children between the ages of 1 and 9 for a daytime excursion to our closest shore. We were armed with Happy Meals, Lollipops, and a movie. The trip was fine, but before hitting the waves we detoured for some pictures of Garret and Dax who will soon be celebrating birthdays. And slowly, but surely our smugness began to crumble as we hear the first complaints of the day, "Why are we stopping here?" "Can we leave yet?" "I'm ready for the beach." "Is it time for icecream?"
So the promise of double scoops for pleasant smiles carried us for a short time...
The natives seemed content and managed to squeeze in some fun and games...
But brevity is key when children are involved lest you get too many of these 'stoic' looking facades.
Our time was running out.
We were treading on thin ice.
Forget the icecream!
We must get these beach bums to their destination fast. They're ready to bare their milky tummies and feel the waves carry them to shore.
And so the day ended on the Texas shore.
You, my dear, are the Queen of All Places Interesting! You have the eye for perfect locations with color and texture and fun things to hide behind! That's what makes your blog so darn irresistible! The beach shots look very "Tara Whitney" so easy and fun. Can I have your little girl? She would like me... I just know she would!

I LOVE THEM!!!! I know that our next shoot will involve water!!! And the sunset!! You captured each of these boys and Nat perfectly!! Just like always!! LOVE THEM!!! I know all of you had a blast doing it!

Love Love Love em! I'm so excited that they turned out good. I'm laughing b/c WE know how much the boys enjoyed taking pictures together and you made them look like they actually liked sitting by each other. Thank you Bibi for doing such a wonderful job capturing my boys. You have such a talent not only in photography, but with making the kids feel relaxed and letting them just have fun. Love you.
