Sweet Chloie turned seven recently and she is in full seven-cuteness. Mom always does such a good job of ensuring that Chloie looks adorable and always has the right hair accessory. This little girl is so precious and so sweet and I love being around her. It so happens that she is in my son's first grade class and he ensures me that Chloie is , in his words, "perfect." I have no doubt :)
Oh, I hope you're staying warm where ever this post finds you. Our forecast is calling for snow in the next day and it is quite the rarity around here so folks are a'buzzing. I'm so glad we were able to do these shoots before the bitter cold hit. And just as I was hoping, all of my clients showed up in their cute, colorful duds to liven up the gray days we've been having.
Paisley looks like a porcelain doll in the wispy fields and I am so loving these pictures of such a pristine, dainty thing amidst the rough weeds. Isn't she a kissable little thing?!
I want to squish her droopy cheeks :)
Friday I got to photograph two special babies. Both are the children of two good friends. Both born just a few days apart. And, both so very snuggly.
First, is Anna Beth. I was asked to be her godmother and I, of course, accepted proudly. Surprisingly, she was wide awake for her big moment in front of the camera. She wasn't going to miss a thing. It was fun to see her bright eyes and giggle at her sweet newborn faces.
Next is Jase Bradley. His little face has soooo much personality. He, on the other hand, was not going to burden himself with being awake during his moment in the spotlight. He was sound asleep for most of our shoot. It was so nice to cuddle two newborns in the same day.
I just wanted to wish all of my Heartspun honeys a sweet Halloween. Happy trick-or-treating!
We last met in the Spring and now the Rys family came to see me in their fall hues. I also photographed baby Audrey about a year ago when she was a newborn and so I know that everytime I see her in the coming years she will have changed so much from our previous encounter. Her hair is growing and her personality is on full display. This is such a fun age with little ones. I am really loving the moody, fall tones under the persimmon tree. This is my favorite time of year.
If you're a horse person or an avid rodeo person then surely you've heard of Cherry Creek Equestrian in Mont Belvieu. If you're not familiar with the center then I highly recommend your check it out! It's a beautiful, state of the art facility ready to tackle your equestrian needs from boarding to lessons and even children's birthday parties. I was happy to go back and shoot some special cowboys and cowgirls to be used in some of their marketing materials. How could I go wrong with pink cowgirl boots and shiny, pint-sized belt buckles?
The Hudson family has welcomed a new member into their family. Baby Carter has taken their world by storm and I think they like it. :)
They welcomed me into their home and then we headed outdoors to enjoy the beautiful, peaceful scenery and a golden sunset. I left this shoot feeling refreshed. They were such nice people and seeing them enjoy such a special time in their lives left me feeling so calm and so thankful for my own special blessings.
This little peanut is the newest member of our extended family and I just love being around her. Her eyes sparkle and her smile makes me giddy. Everything about her is perfection from her fuzzy head to her rolly legs.
I photographed Caleb when he was first born and he has certainly changed so much since the last time I saw him. I would be lying to you if I said that ALL one year old shoots are as easy as it was with Caleb. He was full of personality and smiles for the ladies. Already he's a charmer! This is really so fulfilling for me to get to photograph children over the years and document the way they change. I've seen some of my young clients come out of their shells before my camera over the years and I love that and I pretend to be responsible for their burgeoning personalities for the hour that we're together. And when they get tired, hungry, or they're as dirty as all get out, I hand them lovingly to their real mommas and we part ways. I have it so easy and so wonderful.

So, I gave in to one of my nicest clients and decided to head over to Sugarbaby's for a photo shoot. Miss Emmy will soon be three and she is the poster child for ruffles, bows, and anything pink. Sugarbaby's was her location. I have to first publicly thank the Miller family for saving the day, though. As I arrived at our shoot I could hear the air spilling out of one of my tires. Dad sent us inside while he took care of the problem. In no time, he had my tire patched up for me and I was SOOOO very thankful that God had watched over me that day. Thanks to them, I made it home safe and sound that day.
Back to Miss Emmaly.
