This precious girl could've played Amy Adams' part in Enchanted. She has that happy aura about her. Her joy and smile are contagious! I half expected blue birds to land on her shoulder in song. Precious, she was. She'll be heading to College Station in the fall where she'll proudly don maroon and white. The best advice I got when leaving for A&M in the summer of 1998....keep your maroon shirts out of the wash with your white undies :) Best of luck, Sarah!
I hit the jackpot this year with senior guys and gals. Every one that I have photographed has really impressed me with their personal style and adorable personalities. Garrett is no exception. It's a rather strange and tangled story how we wound up connecting, but I'm glad we did. It has been a reminder to me of how small a world we live in. Garrett has an amazing home with any and every fun activity a boy could ask for right in his backyard so we started there. Following our home-shoot, Garrett's mom drove us to his duck hunting lease to conclude our shoot. En route, Garrett is telling me about all of the big alligator's he has spotted there. Super. Just what I want to hear. I was a trooper, Garrett's momma was on gator-patrol, and we survived our adventure. Honestly, the amazing sunset was probably worth the possibility of seeing a gator up close and personal. We had a good, good afternoon.

Eyes: MAC Limited Edition Wonder Woman eye shadow quad-DEFIANCE. "I used the shade Defiance all over the eye from lash to brow line and the shade Real Drama in the crease. I build and powder back and forth between the colors blending and contouring until I achieve the look I want."
"I'm a huge fan of any MAC Kohl liners, but in this shot I'm wearing Cover Girl Perfect Blend eye pencil in basic black. I line along the lash line on the upper lid and also below the eyes. I lightly blend with my ring finger."
"For mascara I've tried just about all there are to try from the cheapest to most expansive, but I can't get away from Loreal Voluminous in Carbon Black. I've never switched no matter how many others I've tried."
This little dumpling has graced my blog since she was an infant and I love getting to capture her as she grows. Happy Birthday, sweet girl!
This sweet gal is a former student of mine and she emailed me recently about photographing her for her college graduation. Where has the time gone?! She was a kind, mature, level-headed girl in high school and is still that way today. I'm so proud to have played a teeny tiny role in her education. We met at her parent's house and I could hardly believe my eyes. Their yard looks like a beautiful park. It is so picturesque and everything was growing so lush and green. I managed to escape the shoot with a few hydrangea clippings. Thank you for a lovely afternoon!
Sweet Laura and her mom showed up for our shoot last week and we've been corresponding since August about this shoot. I felt like I already knew them. Laura's enthusiasm and excitement was contagious. She was totally comfortable in front of the camera and was up for anything! Mom explained to me that Laura is a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll, so we thought the quirky antique buildings in town would be perfect. Then we ventured to my in-laws driveway for a little bit of country (thanks, mimi and pawpaw). I loved her ecclectic and sweet spirit!

Besides having the coolest name I've ever heard, Kaz also happens to be a super nice, charming guy. He wears his smile soooo big and it was certainly making my morning easy. He'll be at A&M in the fall and I have no doubt that his smarts, awesome personality, and good looks will serve him well in college. Love the round bale shots. Only in Crosby, right?! But the show-stealer was Ruby's Barber Shop. Ruby's has been in business a looooong time and they were kind enough to let us shoot on their front porch. We even got the green light to go visit their antique tractor and bluebonnets and it was small-town perfection. Thank you, Lisa and Annette!
Oh to be tiny, tan, and eighteen again! Miss Kayla is so beautiful and though she was a bit camera shy at first, we were able to get her comfortable and you'd never know that it took her a little while to warm up. She looks so natural. We hopped into one car and I'm glad we did because there was plenty to laugh about on the way.
